Sometimes Looks Of Joy | 1.9.21

Some me facts you may not know, but you may know depending on how well you know me, or just how well you can guess based on the absolute avalanche of crap I share about myself on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. I come from Vikings, truly, DNA tested and true, my entire family on both sides came from Vikings. My mother’s half ended up going to Ireland, my father’s half went to Scotland, and not much further before settling in the Americas. I am Viking, Scottish, Irish, and I am someone who lives proudly on the Autism Spectrum. As you can gather from this strange cocktail of human, I’m a man of passion, of poles, and this comes out without me even realizing it from time to time. This passion runs thick, and it courses through all I do, a fact that is probably obvious in the fact that I’ve been writing for so many days in a row and still have shit to say. When the ASD blends with the Viking nature in my soul, I think sometimes it pops out as pure joy, and I am childlike in my appreciation and excitement for whatever is going on. Sometimes, on the opposite side of that tarnished coin, it can come out in frustration, in silence, in anger that is not violent or aimed outward, but aimed inward. Most often I get quiet when I’m feeling this, I vanish into the well of myself and am just hoping all the while that someone throws a rope down into the depths…drops the bucket like Andie in The Goonies was so badly hoping for.

A man of poles, true enough, but I am always trying to be better. I am trying to channel that passion into positivity, into creation, but goodness me it’s a struggle. As I began today’s post, I will end it, saying that if you know me, you may know, and if you don’t, I’m hopeful you’ll learn: I need your help to be a better man, to be a better version of myself, to come back home when I get lost. Thank you, all of you, for already doing so.

I'm made of passion,

sometimes it looks of anger,

sometimes looks of joy.
