Remember That Joy? | 12.16.20

My goodness, yesterday’s newsletter must have struck a chord, because I heard from many of you about the people we once were, about becoming those people again. First, I want to reiterate to all you beautiful souls: The people you are right now, the precise people who are reading this, are amazing and stunning and worthy of so much celebration. I am so excited that so many of you were touched by yesterday’s post, that so many of you realized that the joy, the wonder, the excitement that you held when you were kids is something you want to have again. We get bogged down in this misconception that we’re supposed to be these beacons of stoicism and maturity, that we’re supposed to put our noses to the grindstone and work and forget the rest, that we truly do lose so much. If there’s ever a time, a season, hell a year to come back to that innocence and childlike jubilation, I’m fairly sure it is right now. You don’t have to be cynical, you don’t have to be serious, you don’t have to see the cracks in all things.

Remember the magic, remember how alive you once felt, and feel it again. If you forget, I’m here, reach out and I’ll help you find it again. I promise.

Remember magic,

how alive we used to feel?

Remember that joy?
